GEORGIA INDEPENDENCE DAY FESTIVAL ADDED TO LINE-UP OF FESTIVITIES IN CAVE SPRING

Cave Spring, Georgia is quite well known around this region for their annual Independence Day festivities. And in ’22, a new offering will be added to the celebration – the Georgia Independence Day Festival, scheduled for Saturday, July 2nd.

The festival originated in Henry County and is being moved to Cave Spring, says founder John Gilbert, who adds that attendees will have the opportunity to learn about US history from its founding fathers.

Actors and actresses are currently sought to portray historical figures, asserts Gilbert.

Larry Dolan, Executive Director of the Cave Spring Downtown Development Authority, anticipates that the Georgia Independence Day Festival will offer a fun glimpse into history.

Also added to the line-up of Independence Day festivities in Cave Spring – a .5 K race; that will also take place on July 2nd. That evening will culminate with the city’s annual fireworks display. The Cave Spring 4th of July Parade is on schedule for Monday, July 4th.

A full slate of activities for 2022 in Cave Spring will kick off with BaconFest and a Car Show on Saturday, May 7th. Dolan says that if you love bacon, you will love this event.
