Just 339 new cases of coronavirus and no virus-related deaths were reported across Georgia on Monday by the state Department of Public Health.
According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 890,581 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 17,804. The number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic totaled 10,027 in Floyd County, which has additionally had 189 fatalities. Gwinnett County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 87,057, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 1,289.
As of the most recent update to the vaccine dashboard on Monday, 6,845,430 vaccines have been administered across the state; 37 percent of all Georgians have received at least a dose of the vaccine, while 30 percent have been fully vaccinated.
