ROME FLOYD CHAMBER INVITES THE PUBLIC TO CONFLUENCE, A ONE DAY INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE

The Rome-Floyd Chamber invites the public to attend Confluence, a one-day conference where commerce meets innovation and technology set for Friday, April 23rd from 8 am until 3 pm in person at the historic DeSoto Theatre (and virtually via Zoom).

Curtis Morley, author of “Entrepreneur’s Paradox” and director of the Kahlert Initiative on Technology at the University of Utah, is set to serve as a keynote speaker at Confluence. According to Thomas Kislat, Director of Membership and Entrepreneurial Development for the Chamber, Morley is an inspirational individual.

Additional speakers will include Meaghan Kennedy, the founder of Orange Sparkle Ball, Inc.; Trudy U. Rey, PhD, a patent agent in molecular biology; Erica Cates, National Expansion Manager of Java Joy; and Steve Dennis of Motivation Unlimited, who will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.

The purpose of events like Confluence is to attract and retain talented people in Rome, Georgia, indicates Kislat.

Tickets to Confluence are $29 for Chamber members, $49 for non-members. The ticket price includes a coffee break with Java Joy and a $10 voucher for lunch at a downtown restaurant. For more information and to register, check out the Rome-Floyd Chamber’s website at www.romega.com. The Chamber may also be reached by telephone at (706) 291-7663.
