CORONAVIRUS, VACCINE UPDATE FROM GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Just 753 new cases of coronavirus and no virus related deaths were reported across Georgia on Sunday by the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 849,607 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 16,487. In Floyd County, there were 9,748 confirmed cases and 172 fatalities. Gwinnett County had this state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 83,265, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 1,177.

As of the most recent update to the health department’s vaccine dashboard on Sunday afternoon, a total of 3,601,473 vaccines had been administered across the state.
