The Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home will begin taking online orders for its annual Herb and Plant Sale this Sunday, March 21st. Heather Shores, Executive Director, says that orders will be accepted through Saturday, April 10th at www.chieftainsmuseum.org. Plants and herbs may be picked up via a drive-thru on Friday, April 16th and Saturday, April 17th.
Shores indicates that funds have been raised via the Herb and Plant Sale for over thirty years for Chieftains, a National Historic Landmark. All herbs and plants are locally sourced.
The museum will partner with Georgia Highlands College on Thursday for a virtual presentation featuring Mary Crowe, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. The presentation, “Land Sovereignity and Healing”, is set for 10 am to 11:30 am. It is free and open to the public, although registration is required. Get more information and register on Chieftains’ website.
