Habitat for Humanity of Coosa Valley is slated to dedicate their 57th home on Sunday, February 28th at 3 pm. The home is located at 541 Branham Avenue and was made possible via the hard work of volunteers from the First Baptist Church of Rome, according to Betsy Allgood, Executive Director of the local Habitat chapter.
Recipients of Habitat homes must put sweat equity into their homes, as well as their communities, asserts Allgood, who adds that applications for the 58th home are being accepted through Friday, February 26th.
The Habitat for Humanity of Coosa Valley’s 57th home will be inhabited by the family of Amelia Marks. Allgood enthuses that they are excited to soon have their own home.
Attendees of the February 28th home dedication are urged to adhere to current COVID-19 protocols.
