The Salvation Army of Rome seeks donations from the public for the holiday season, and contributions can be made from the comfort of home.
Lieutenant Paula Blevins urges all concerned citizens to visit their website at www.salvationarmygeorgia.org/rome and click on the scrolling banner that is entitled “Rescue Christmas”. This permits donors to contribute online to the Red Kettle campaign.
Donations may also be taken to the Salvation Army of Rome’s office, located at 317 East First Avenue, or made via telephone at (706) 291-4745.
Volunteer opportunities are also open to those of all ages and abilities during the holiday season, adds Lt. Blevins.
Monday, November 23rd was observed as Salvation Army Day in Rome, by a proclamation of the Rome City Commission approved earlier this month.
