It is about to get loud in Rome, Georgia as some of the country’s top military assets and aerobatic performers take to the skies next weekend for the Wings Over North Georgia drive-in air show. Show dates are slated for October 24th and 25th at Rome’s Russell Regional Airport.
Ticket sales are going well, according to John Cowman, the President of JLC Airshow Management, who adds that the headlining United States Air Force Thunderbirds and other performers look forward to coming to town.
Aerobatic champion Michael Goulian with Goulian Aerosports is among the performers that will be in Rome for WONG ’20. He expects that his (and the other performers’) passion for aviation will be contagious among locals.
Goulian also anticipates that the drive-in air show will be safe and fun for all those in attendance.
WONG ’20 will additionally feature the US Air Force’s A-10 Thunderbolt II and C-17 Globemaster II demonstration teams, along with SOCOM, the US Army’s Special Operations Command Black Daggers Parachute Team.
