The Rome City Commission will meet in regular session this evening. Their 6:30 pm meeting will be preceded by a caucus at 5 pm. Both of those will be held at City Hall (or the City Auditorium) on Broad Street and will be open to the public.
Commissioner Wendy Davis asserts that city committees have been adjusting to a ‘new normal’ in this era of coronavirus.
An increased virtual presence over the past year has resulted in greater citizen engagement; Davis believes that is a ‘silver lining’ to the challenging year that has been 2020.

Floyd County Commissioners will meet Tuesday. They’ll gather in a caucus session at 4 pm, to be followed by their regular meeting at 6 pm at the county Administration Building on East 4th Avenue. Both of those gatherings will be open to the public. Those in attendance are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
