Dr. Glenn White is now officially the Floyd County Schools’ Superintendent! His appointment was made official on Wednesday during a called meeting of the Floyd County Board of Education. He had served in interim since August 17th, according to an FCS release.
FCBOE board chair Dr. Tony McDaniel says of Dr. White, “He’s made some good decisions during his short term as interim.”
Dr. White asserts, “I’d like to thank the FCBOE for this opportunity to be the superintendent in this great, outstanding school system.”
Prior to his appointment as interim superintendent, Dr. White served FCS for five years as director of student services. Before that, he spent 24 years as an administrator at Model High School. Dr. White was elected as the president of the Georgia High School Association in 2014 and will continue to serve in that capacity as well.
