Close to 128,000 people in Georgia have been infected with the coronavirus, per the state Department of Public Health.
According to the latest report by the DPH released on Wednesday afternoon just prior to 3 pm, there were 127,834 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across this state. There were 3,091 deaths attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 784 confirmed cases and 15 fatalities. Gwinnett County had this state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 12,217, while Fulton County has had the most fatalities with 331.
