Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced on Tuesday that the voter registration deadline for the August 11th run-off election is now set for July 13th. According to a release from his office, this change was needed in order to match the deadline set by federal law for the federal runoffs which are part of the upcoming primary run-off election.
There are two races of local interest which will be determined by Republican voters in the run off. Marjorie Greene and Dr. John Cowan each seek the 14th Congressional District post, while Tom Caldwell and Dave Roberson are the candidates in the race for Floyd County’s next Sheriff.
