The Exchange Club Family Resource Center currently seeks donations from the community of masks.
Tina Bartleson, Executive Director, indicates that FRC Parent Aides hope to resume in-home visits with clients in August or September. These masks will be needed to keep people safe and prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Handmade cloth masks are sought, in addition to disposable and N95 masks, says Bartleson.
Any donations of hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and paper towels are also welcome at this time, adds Bartleson.
Local golfers are encouraged to support the Exchange Club Family Resource Center by registering to participate in this year’s Tee Off Against Child Abuse Golf Tournament; the event is now slated for Wednesday, September 2nd. All funds raised will go towards the prevention of child abuse. Bartleson asserts that the money is needed, as the center has faced about a 30 percent decrease in revenues, largely due to cancellation of special events.
There has been an uptick in demand for FRC services in recent days as local families navigate the stresses associated with the pandemic.
