GEORGIA’S NET TAX COLLECTIONS DOWN BY -10.1 PERCENT

Georgia’s net tax collections in May came in at $1.58 billion for a decline of $178 million, or -10.1 percent, compared to May 2019, when the collections totaled nearly $1.76 billion, according to a release that was issued on Monday from the office of Governor Brian Kemp. The year-to-date net tax collections totaled $20.81 billion for a decrease of roughly $857.9 million, or -4 percent, compared to the previous fiscal year, when the state’s net tax revenues totaled close to $21.67 billion.
