The Rome City Commission will meet virtually via Zoom this evening. The 6:30 pm meeting will go live on Facebook. City Commissioners will consider a recommendation from the Alcohol Control Commission to amend city code to allow for the public consumption of alcohol in the downtown district on a temporary basis. This measure is intended to assist downtown establishments that have been hit particularly hard by the COVID-19 outbreak and allow for social distancing among downtown revelers.
