The Atlanta Braves lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-1 on Monday night in the first meeting of a three-game set at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA. It marked the fifth consecutive loss for the Braves, while the defending World Series champion Dodgers are 6-0 to start the 2025 regular season.
The Dodgers got on the board with a two-run homer by Teoscar Hernandez in the bottom of the first inning. They added two more in the third with an RBI double by Michael Conforto and a sac fly by Tommy Edman. Will Smith had an RBI single in the fifth, and Enrique Hernandez had a home run to open the bottom of the sixth.
Grant Holmes was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up four runs and four hits, walking four, and striking out three through four innings. Tyler Glasnow was credited with the win for LA.
The Braves scored their lone run of the night off the Dodgers’ bullpen with a home run by Michael Harris II to begin the top of the eighth.

In other Braves news, Jurickson Profar has been suspended for 80 days for a violation of Major League Baseball’s performance enhancing drugs (or PED) policy.
