GEORGIA GENERAL ASSEMBLY’S 2025 SESSION IS UNDERWAY

The 2025 session of the Georgia General Assembly officially got underway on Monday at the State Capitol in Atlanta.

There will be a major focus on Georgia’s budget during this session, asserts State Representative Katie Dempsey of Rome.

Dempsey says that she would like to re-examine legislation intended to assist those who have been wrongfully convicted of a crime.

Legislation pertaining to education and school safety will also be among state lawmakers’ priorities this year, adds Dempsey.
