ROME-FLOYD FIRE DEPARTMENT: NOW’S A GOOD TIME TO LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WINTER WEATHER WATCH, WARNING, AND ADVISORY

Northwest Georgians are bracing for the winter weather that is in the forecast as we head into the weekend.

This is a good time to learn the difference between a winter weather watch, warning, and advisory, states Linda Patty, Life and Fire Safety Educator for the Rome-Floyd Fire Department. An advisory indicates the possibility for wintry precipitation. A watch means that it is likely, while a warning means that it will happen (or is already happening).
