LAST SESSION OF FLOYD EMA’S SAFE EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS ACADEMY FOR 2024 SET FOR DECEMBER 10TH

One more class remains for the year 2024 in the Floyd County Emergency Management Agency’s SAFE Emergency Preparedness Academy.

Emergency Searches will be the focus of the last class of the year, slated for Tuesday, December 10th from 6 pm until 8 pm in the Emergency Operations Center located at 407 East 12th Street in Rome. Tim Herrington, Floyd EMA Director, says that the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office will assist.

There is no cost to attend the session. Community members are urged to register in advance online at SAFE – Emergency Prep Academy | Floyd County Georgia.

Animals in Disaster was the topic for the most recent session that was held this past Tuesday.

The SAFE Emergency Preparedness Academy will return in 2025, according to Herrington.
