GEORGIA STATE PARKS AND HISTORIC SITES: LEAF PEEPING WILL SOON BE FOLLOWED BY HOLIDAY FESTIVITIES

Visitors to Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites are currently enjoying Fall color, and that leaf peeping will soon be followed by holiday activities.

Kim Hatcher, Public Affairs Coordinator, encourages Georgians to check out www.gastateparks.org to view the list of upcoming holiday programs and to learn about accommodations for those who want to host their holiday parties at a state park.

Also, go ahead and mark those calendars for January 1, 2025 – New Year’s Day. A host of First Day Hikes will be held across the state on that day, says Hatcher.

And here’s a message from Hatcher to Georgians who are still enjoying every last bit of Fall color that this state has to offer – share pictures via the Leaf Watch travel planner featured on the Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites website.
