ROME HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT FILM PLACES THIRD IN ROME INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL COMPETITION

Media release from Rome, GA City Schools:

Rome High School AVTF students recently took third place in the Rome International Film Festival student film competition.

Their film, “The Magic 8 Ball”, is about a vintage toy finding new life when an unsuspecting student picks it up and starts using it to make all his life decisions.

“My film students worked hard to create three very different short films to enter into the Rome International Film Festival in the student category. Out of 24 submissions, we won third! I am my students’ biggest cheerleader, and proud of them no matter what, but to see us beat out schools from across our region to take third place, that’s something to be really excited about,” Rome High School Broadcasting and Film Teacher Mackenzi Hice said.

The cast and crew of the film includes Teriq Perkins, Leslie Vicente, Kevin Lam, Abbie Thornton and Virginia McIntosh.
