Get ready for a toe-tappin’, cider sippin’, fun-for-everyone arts festival! The 59th annual Chiaha Harvest Fair will be held this Saturday and Sunday at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds, 1400 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Rome. Hours are 10 am to 5 pm both days.
Monica Sheppard, Co-Executive Director of the Chiaha Guild of Arts and Crafts, enthuses that attendees of this year’s Chiaha will have opportunities to purchase arts and crafts created by vendors from around the country and to enjoy live music indoors and outdoors.
There will also be hot and cold apple cider and plenty of fair food at Chiaha, says Sheppard. Kids’ activities will be offered in the Create-a-ha tent.
The cost for cash admission is $5 for Adults, $4 for Students and Seniors, and $1 for children ages 12-2. Admission is free of charge for children under the age of 2. Card payments are available for an added fee. There is no charge for parking for the event, and handicapped parking is available.
Proceeds from the Chiaha Harvest Fair will support arts initiatives around the community, says Sheppard.
