The Rome-Floyd Recycling Center will host Scrap Tire Amnesty Days on October 18th and 19th from 9 am until 2 pm at the GE Trails located at 1935 Redmond Circle.
Emma Wells, Director of Solid Waste for Floyd County, GA, says that Floyd County residents may bring up to 10 clean tires that have been removed from the rims. No commercial tires will be accepted.
Scrap Tire Amnesty Days are made possible through a grant from the Georgia EPD funded by the Solid Waste Trust Fund, says Wells. Call the Rome-Floyd Recycling Center for more information at (706) 291-5266.
