ATLANTA BRAVES SHUT OUT IN SERIES FINALE VERSUS LOS ANGELES DODGERS AT TRUIST PARK

The Atlanta Braves were handed a shut out loss by the Los Angeles Dodgers by a final score of 9-0 on Monday night in the finale of a four-game National League set at Truist Park. That resulted in an even 2-2 split of the series.

Shohei Otani drove in a pair of runs. Former Brave Freddie Freeman clubbed a three run homer for the Dodgers.

Max Fried was charged with the loss for Atlanta after surrendering three runs and two hits, walking three, and striking out seven through six innings. Evan Phillips was credited with the win for LA.

The Braves are now 81-69 on the 2024 season and have dropped to one game behind the New York Mets for the third and final NL Wild Card. They will be in Cincinnati, OH this evening for the first of three games versus the Reds. First pitch is slated for 6:40 pm.
