GEORGIA STATE PARKS AND HISTORIC SITES ANTICIPATE A BUSY LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites anticipate a busy Labor Day weekend, according to Kim Hatcher, Public Affairs Coordinator. Many visitors at state parks will be looking for a place to cool off over this ‘last hurrah of summer’. Hatcher recommends a dip in the lake at Red Top Mountain or Fort Mountain or the pool at FDR. She adds that accommodations for the holiday weekend at parks around the state are, for the most part, full – so now is an ideal time to go ahead and make reservations for next year.
