The Exchange Club Family Resource Center will benefit from the 2024 Gary Tillman Memorial Clocktower 5K Road Race & 2-Mile Health Walk, set for the morning of Saturday, August 17th.
Registration is now available online at Tillman Clocktower 5K & 2-Mile Health Walk (runsignup.com) at a cost of $35 for the 5K and $30 for the 2-mile. The cost will increase after today (Wednesday, August 7th) to $40 for each online through August 13th and on race day. Register by today if you want a t-shirt!
Kelly Sanker, President of the FRC Board of Directors, says that all proceeds will support the center’s mission to prevent child abuse.
Gail Johnson, race co-chair, says that this year’s start line will be positioned on West 3rd Street in front of the parking lot at Barron Stadium. All post-race festivities will take place on the levee at Heritage Park.
The race will include, of course, a climb up Rome’s historic Clocktower Hill.
This year marks the 39th anniversary of the race, the oldest in Rome and one of the oldest in Georgia history.
