Rome City Commissioners on Monday night unanimously approved a new pay scale for city employees. According to an announcement from the city government:
- Police and Fire minimum salary will be at $52,000
- In other departments, minimum hourly wage increase from $13 to $16
- More than 400 city employees will see a raise when changes take effect in September
