ATLANTA BRAVES WRAP UP ROAD TRIP WITH LOSS IN CHICAGO TO WHITE SOX, UP NEXT – A NINE-GAME HOMESTAND

The Atlanta Braves finished a seven game road trip with a loss to the Chicago White Sox by 1-0 on Thursday in a make-up game that was snowed out early this season in Chicago, IL.

The White Sox scored the only run of the day on a homer by Luis Robert Jr. in the bottom of the first inning.

Chris Sale was charged with the loss for Atlanta after surrendering that one run and four hits, walking one, and striking out a season-high 11 over seven innings of work. Jared Shuster was credited with the win in relief, while Michael Kopech picked up the save for Chicago.

The Braves went 3-4 during their road trip and remain in second place of the National League East with a record of 44-35 for the 2024 season. They will be back on their home field at Truist Park in Atlanta tonight to begin a nine-game homestand with the first of three outings against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
