ATLANTA BRAVES OPEN ROAD TRIP WITH WEEKEND SERIES IN NEW YORK VERSUS THE YANKEES, LISTEN ON WLAQ

The Atlanta Braves had a scheduled off-day on Thursday and will open up a seven game road trip tonight with the first of three games in New York versus the Yankees. Chris Sale will be the starting pitcher for Atlanta, while Carlos Rodon will head to the mound for New York. First pitch is slated for 7:05 pm at Yankee Stadium. Atlanta heads into this weekend’s series with a record of 41-31 and in second place of the National League East. New York is in first place of the American League East with an MLB-best record of 51-26.

The Braves’ series in New York will be followed by three games in St. Louis, MO versus the Cardinals on Monday through Wednesday, then they will head to Chicago, IL on Thursday afternoon to make up an outing against the White Sox that was rained out early in the season.
