June is National Reunification Month. It is a time to celebrate reunification of families and its impact on the lives of children who have been in the foster care system, attests Mary Margaret Mauer, Co-Founder of Restoration Rome, who adds that reunification is a primary goal of her organization.
Mauer asserts that reunification is made possible through families’ receiving proper support, such as parenting classes and social services that are offered by Restoration Rome and its partners.
Restoration Rome, a center for foster care and family restoration services, is located at 1400 Crane Street (the old Southeast Elementary School) in Rome, GA. For more information, visit www.restorationrome.org.
