HABITAT FOR HUMANITY – COOSA VALLEY TO CONTINUE YEAR-LONG ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WITH OVERALL BALL ON JUNE 22ND, VOLUNTEERS STILL SOUGHT TO HELP OUT WITH CONCESSIONS AT ROME EMPERORS’ HOME GAMES

Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley will continue the year-long celebration of its 40th anniversary with the Overall Ball on Saturday, June 22nd at Oak Hill Pavilion. Tickets to the event cost $50 a person and include dinner, cocktails, and live music from Kevin Allen Music Productions, enthuses Betsy Allgood, Executive Director of the local Habitat chapter. She attests that all proceeds will be used to build homes in the community.

Festivities will begin at 6:30 pm and will also include live and silent auctions. Supporters of Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley may purchase tickets and get more information at www.habitatcoosavalley.org/overall-ball.

The non-profit’s 40th anniversary celebration will also feature an Adult Field Day on September 21st, the annual Drive One Fore Habitat golf tournament in celebration of World Habitat Day on October 7th, and a screening of the film “It’s A Wonderful Life” on November 30th. The observance began with a 40th Birthday Bash in late March.

Allgood says that volunteers are still sought to work three concession stands at Rome Emperors home games, from which Habitat receives a portion of the proceeds. She adds that this volunteer experience is fun, doesn’t take too much time, and is very rewarding.
