ROME EMPERORS SPLIT THURSDAY DOUBLE HEADER WITH ASHEVILLE TOURISTS, TEAMS’ SERIES CONTINUES THROUGH THE WEEKEND

The Rome Emperors split a double header against the Asheville Tourists up in Asheville, NC on Thursday evening. Rome won the opener by 6-1, while Asheville took the night cap by 12-1. That evened up the seven-game series between the teams at two games apiece. Game five is on tap for this evening at 6:35 pm.

The Emperors’ series in Asheville will continue through Sunday. That will be followed by an off day on Monday, then a six game series at home versus the Wilmington Blue Rocks next Tuesday through Sunday.

Gavin Booker, play-by-play announcer for the Rome Emperors, enthuses that highlights of next week’s homestand will include a Business Person Special game with a 12 pm start time on Wednesday and Salute to Service Night next Saturday night.
