Opening Day is a little more than two weeks away for the Rome Emperors. Rome, Georgia’s minor league baseball team is scheduled to take the field on Friday, April 5th at AdventHealth Stadium versus the Hickory Crawdads.
Justin Franklin, Marketing and Media Relations Coordinator, says that front end staff members are ‘fired up’ about the approaching 2024 season.
Franklin recently spent some time at Spring Training down in Florida, during which he received some insight from Emperors coaches about the upcoming season, chatted with former Rome players, and attended the Spring Breakout among Major League Baseball’s top prospects. That visit led him to believe that there will be ‘serious success’ throughout the minors this year.
The Rome Emperors remain the High A minor league affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. Purchase tickets to upcoming games and get more information about the team at www.goemperors.com.
The countdown also continues to Opening Day for the Atlanta Braves! The Braves will open up their 2024 regular season next Thursday, March 28th up in Philadelphia, PA with a National League East outing against the Phillies. Listen to all the action of the regular season from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network on WLAQ 1410 AM or 96.9 FM. WLAQ will broadcast two more Spring Training games for this year; those are set for this Saturday, March 23rd and Sunday, March 24th.
The Braves had a break in their Grapefruit League schedule on Tuesday and will return to action this afternoon at 1:05 pm in North Port, FL as hosts to the Toronto Blue Jays.
