The Floyd County Emergency Management Agency is encouraging Rome and Floyd County residents to participate in the Spring 2024 Skywarn Basic Storm Spotter Training that will be offered virtually by the National Weather Service, starting on Monday.
Tim Herrington, Floyd EMA Director, says that participants may download a certificate upon completion of the training.
The weather can unpredictable here in Georgia during the Springtime, adds Herrington, who attests that it is wise to be prepared in advance for whatever may happen.
