MODEL HIGH SCHOOL’S BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM BEGINS STATE PLAYOFFS WITH WIN OVER DREW CHARTER

Model High School’s boys basketball team emerged victorious at home over Drew Charter by 49-43 on Wednesday night in the first round of the GHSA’s Class AA state tournament.

Noah Travis notched a team-high 14 points for the Blue Devils, who had two other players to score into the double digits.

The Blue Devils will host Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy in the Sweet 16 round of the state playoffs over the weekend.

Model’s Lady Blue Devils will resume play in the GHSA Class AA girls’ state tournament on Friday night with a Sweet 16 match at Banks County. Tip off is set for 7 pm.
