The Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home’s 2024 Herb & Plant Sale will take place at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds in Rome during the first weekend in April.
The sale will be open to the public on Saturday, April 6th from 9 am to 4 pm and on Sunday, April 7th from 12 pm to 3 pm. There will be a members-only pre-sale on the evening of Friday, April 5th, says Olivia Cawood, Executive Director.
Proceeds will benefit the Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home, a National Historic Landmark and one of just a few private entities to be certified by the National Park Service as a site on the Trail of Tears. Cawood asserts that its preservation is incredibly important.
