WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM will be courtside again twice more for the 2023-2024 regular season of Model High School basketball.
Tune in tonight for coverage of Model’s games versus North Murray. Tip off is scheduled for 7 pm for the girls and 8:30 pm for the boys. Matt Davis and Ian Griffin will have the play by play and will go on air at 6:45 pm.
The Lady Blue Devils head into this evening’s game tied for the top spot in Region 7-AA with a record of 17-4 overall, 8-1 in region play for this regular season. They are fighting to surpass Murray County as the region leaders and nab home court advantage during this year’s region tournament, according to WLAQ Sports’ Matt Davis.
Model’s Blue Devils enter the weekend with a record of 14-7 overall, 8-1 in region play. They are alone at the top of the Region 7-AA standings, attests Davis.
WLAQ will also broadcast the Model girls’ and boys’ regular season finales on Tuesday, February 6th at home versus Rockmart.
