You are enjoying your live Christmas tree now, but what do you plan to do with the tree when Christmas is over? Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful invites you to Bring One for the Chipper! The 2024 Bring One for the Chipper tree recycling event will take place on Saturday, January 6th from 10 am to 12 pm in the parking lot of the Home Depot, 103 Hicks Drive.
Hannah Bagley, KRFB Director, enthuses that trees gathered at the event will be used to create fish habitats. All attendees will be given tree seedlings in exchange for their live Christmas trees.
Bring One for the Chipper is an annual initiative of Keep America Beautiful intended to encourage the use and the proper disposal of live Christmas trees, adds Bagley.
