WACKER AND BELL GRADUATE FROM GEORGIA LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMAND COLLEGE

The Floyd County Police Department is pleased to announce the graduation of Pfc. Mike Bell and Sergeant William Wacker from the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College at Columbus State University. Both officers graduated with a Master’s Degree in Public Safety Administration.

Pfc. Bell has been with our agency since January of 1994. During his time with the Floyd County Police Department, Mike has served in a number of roles. He has served within the Patrol Division, the Selective Enforcement Unit and as a School Resource Officer. Mike is currently assigned as the agency’s Public Information Officer and Recruiting Officer. Mike has also served as a Filed Training Officer and is a P.O.S.T. Certified General Instructor and Driving Instructor.

Sergeant Wacker has been with our agency since July of 2012. Sergeant Wacker is currently assigned to our School Resource Officer Program and serves as one of the School Resource Officers in the Armuchee

School District. Sergeant Wacker is also a member of the Floyd County Special Weapons and Tactics Team, serves as a P.O.S.T. Certified General Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor and Use of Force Instructor. Sergeant Wacker has served within our Patrol Division as well as the Investigation Division.
