Floyd County Public Works hosted the quarterly APWA (or American Public Works Association) Georgia Chapter (Northwest Georgia Branch) meeting at the Rome-Floyd ECO Center on Wednesday.
Territories for this branch include Dade, Walker, Catoosa, Whitfield, Murray, Fannin, Gilmer, Gordon, Chattooga, Floyd, Pickens, Bartow, Polk, Paulding, and Haralson counties.
At the meeting:
- The Salvation Army of Rome, GA was present to receive donations collected by the Branch during their Toy Drive to provide for children in need during the Holiday.
- Public Works Section Supervisor Eric Sexton, who has served Floyd County for 25 years, was voted in as Branch President.
- Ag-Pro served as the guest speaker and provided lunch to all — and some cool hats, too!
- Attendees got to see beautiful creatures, courtesy of the Rome-Floyd ECO Center.
