Area high school football teams are bound for the first round of the GHSA state playoffs this weekend.
WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM will have coverage of Darlington football on Friday night as the Tigers hit the road to face Whitefield Academy in a Class A Division 1 showdown.
Wayne Groves, Darlington’s head football coach, told WLAQ Sports that he has great expectations for the Tigers in the playoffs.
Darlington finished the 2023 regular season with a record of 6-4 overall and 4-2 in Region 7-A Division 1.
