The Atlanta Braves announced Monday that they have exercised the option on pitcher Charlie Morton’s contract for the 2024 season. The team declined options on pitchers Collin McHugh and Kirby Yates, in addition to outfielder Eddie Rosario.
In other news from the Braves, Ronald Acuna Jr. has been nominated for the National League’s MVP Award. Brian Snitker has received a nomination for Manager of the Year. The winners will be announced next week on the MLB Network. The awards will be presented by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.
