HAWKS SNAP 10-GAME LOSING SKID WITH WIN AT ORLANDO

The Atlanta Hawks snapped a 10-game losing skid on Monday evening with a win over the Orlando Magic, 101-93, at the Amway Center in Orlando, FL. This allowed Atlanta to take a 2-0 lead in the four-game season series among rivals in the Southeast Division of the NBA’s Eastern Conference.

Brandon Goodwin led the charge for the Hawks with 21 points off the bench.  Alex Len also came off the bench to add 18 points and 12 rebounds.  Starters Kevin Huerter and DeAndre Hunter had 19 and 16 points, respectively.  John Collins contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds.  Trae Young was sidelined for a second straight game with an ankle injury.

Nikola Vucevic notched a game-high 27 points for the Magic.  Evan Fournier added 22 points.

The Hawks improved to 7-27 with the win, though they remain the team with the worst record in the NBA.  They will return to action on Friday evening in Boston with a match against the Celtics; tip off is set for 7 pm.
