ATLANTA BRAVES EVEN NLDS WITH COMEBACK VICTORY OVER PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES

The Atlanta Braves defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 5-4 on Monday night in Game Two of their National League Division Series at Truist Park to even the best-of-five set at a game apiece.

The Phillies scored the first run of the night on an RBI single by Alec Bohm in the top of the first inning, added two more on a home run by JT Realmuto in the third, and another on a sac fly by Bryson Stott in the fifth. The Braves got on the board when Ronald Acuna Jr reached home on a throwing error in the bottom of the sixth inning. Travis d’Arnaud clubbed a two-run homer off of Zack Wheeler which put the Braves within a run of the Phillies during the seventh.

Atlanta took a 5-4 lead on a two-run shot by Austin Riley in the bottom of the eighth and secured the victory with a game-ending double play – courtesy of a great catch by Michael Harris II.

AJ Minter was credited with the win in relief, while Raisel Iglesias picked up the save for Atlanta. Jeff Hoffman took the loss for Philadelphia.
