ATLANTA BRAVES DROP GAME ONE OF NLDS TO PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES, GAME TWO SET FOR MONDAY IN ATLANTA

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Philadelphia Phillies 3-0 on Saturday evening in Game One of their National League Division Series at Truist Park.

The Phillies scored their first run of the night in the top of the fourth inning on an RBI single by Bryson Stott, their second on a solo home run by Bryce Harper in the sixth, and their third on a catcher’s interference with the bases loaded in the eighth.

Spencer Strider was charged with the loss for Atlanta after surrendering two runs (one of them earned) and five hits, walking two, and striking out eight in seven innings of work. Jeff Hoffman picked up the win in relief, while Craig Kimbrel got the save for Philadelphia.
