ATLANTA BRAVES IN BOSTON FOR TWO-GAME SET VERSUS RED SOX

The Atlanta Braves had a scheduled off day for Monday and will continue a five-game road trip tonight with the first of two interleague games in Boston, MA versus the Red Sox. Charlie Morton will serve as the starting pitcher for Atlanta. First pitch is slated for 7:10 pm at Fenway Park. The National League East-leading Braves have an MLB-best record of 64-34 on the 2023 regular season. They opened this road trip by taking two of three in Milwaukee, WI over the Brewers this past weekend. The Red Sox are 53-47 and tied with the New York Yankees for last place in the American League East.

The Braves made a pair of trades on Monday. They picked up pitcher Pierce Johnson from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for minor leaguers Victor Vodnik and Tanner Gordon. They additionally acquired pitcher Taylor Hearn from the Texas Rangers in exchange for cash considerations.
