The Atlanta Braves announced Tuesday that catcher Sean Murphy has been signed to a six-year contract worth $73 million which runs through the 2028 season. The deal includes a $15 million club option with no buyout for 2029 that would give Murphy a seven-year deal worth $88 million.
Murphy was acquired from the Oakland Athletics on December 12th as part of a three-team deal that also included the Milwaukee Brewers.
