The Washington Nationals are the 2019 World Series champions! The Nats clinched the title with a 6-2 victory over the Houston Astros in Game Seven of the Fall Classic on Wednesday evening in Houston. This marks the team’s first World Series win in franchise history and is the first title for Washington DC in 95 years (when the Senators won it all).
Stephen Strasburg was named the series MVP; he was the winning pitcher in Games Two and Six.
