LIVING PROOF RECOVERY TO BRING FLAVOR, FUN, AND PURPOSE WITH 3RD ANNUAL TASTE OF ROME

Media release from LivingProof Recovery:

Mark your calendars and bring your appetite! On Tuesday, May 27th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, LivingProof Recovery invites the community to the 3rd Annual Taste of Rome, held riverside at the stunning Courtyard by Marriott Rome Riverwalk. This high-energy fundraiser combines the best of Rome’s local cuisine, live entertainment and feel-good giving—all in one unforgettable evening.

Up to 20 of Rome’s top restaurants will serve up their best bites, offering “all-you-can-taste” access with each ticket purchase. Enjoy the sounds of Kevin Allen Music Production, try your luck in the raffle giveaway, snap a photo in the interactive photobooth by Blooming Oak Photography and raise your glass—adult beverage bands will be available for purchase for those 21 and up.

But this event is about more than just food—it’s about fueling hope, healing and community.

All Proceeds Benefit the Supported Volunteer Service (SVS) Program

Taste of Rome now supports LivingProof Recovery’s Supported Volunteer Service Program (SVS), a powerful initiative focused on mental health recovery through purpose-driven peer engagement. SVS connects volunteers and peers in recovery with meaningful service opportunities that not only support the organization, the individual and the community but help individuals rebuild confidence, develop coping skills and foster authentic community connections.

“We know that food and beverage can bring people together like nothing else can,” says Erin deMesquita, SVS program director. “The Taste of Rome represents what we believe in at LivingProof—that recovery thrives in community, and shared experience is the foundation of healing. Every raffle ticket, every bite, every band—it’s all helping someone find their footing again.”

Since launching in August 2024, the SVS program has supported more than 40 individuals through their recovery journeys by creating opportunities to serve, grow and reconnect with purpose.

“Taste of Rome is more than a fundraiser,” said Brittney Galvanauskas, Executive Director of LivingProof Recovery. “It’s a celebration of resilience, transformation and the people who make it all possible. I can’t wait to share this evening with our supporters and community.”

An Evening of Flavor and Friendly Competition

Each Taste of Rome admission ($50 value) includes:

  • An “All-You-Can-Taste” wristband for all food vendors
  • Live entertainment
  • One raffle entry ticket

New this year: guests will get to vote for their favorite “Sweet” and “Savory” dishes, while Chef Greg Paulson, Program Director and Instructor of Culinary Arts at Georgia Northwestern Technical College, selects the winner for “Most Creative Presentation.”
