The Floyd County Emergency Management Agency’s SAFE Emergency Preparedness Academy will continue Saturday, May 10th with an Emergency Services Expo.
Tim Herrington, Floyd EMA Director, says that the event will take place in the parking lot of WalMart in East Rome. Attendees will have an opportunity to check out static displays and ask questions.
There will also be a session on June 16th about Drug Safety and Narcan. That will be facilitated by the Department of Public Health, says Herrington.
The SAFE Emergency Preparedness Academy will pause in July and likely resume in August, adds Herrington.
Floyd EMA has also planned a two-day Amateur Radio Introduction for July 19th and 26th.
